Prince Andrew’s Home Invaded Raid

The Sun

COPS have arrested a man on suspicion of breaking into the grounds of Prince Andrew's house.

The 43-year-old was nicked at his home in Colnbrook, Berks, over conspiracy to commit theft and is being held in police custody.

The Sun told exclusively today how a gang of raiders used a 4x4 to plough through gates at Royal Lodge in Windsor Great Park on Monday.

Away on holiday ... Prince Andrew with daughters Beatrice and Eugenie.

They were spotted by security guards on CCTV and sped off through narrow lanes empty-handed.

Andrew, 50, and his daughters, Princesses Beatrice, 21, and Eugenie, 20, were on a cruise with the Queen in Scotland at the time.

Under-fire Fergie, also 50, lives in separate quarters from her ex-husband at Royal Lodge but was away in southern Spain.

A spokeswoman for Thames Valley Police said that the method of entry remained under investigation.

She said: "A 43-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit theft, following an incident within an area of Windsor Great Park.

"Thames Valley Police arrested the man from his home address in Colnbrook, Slough, this morning at 8.22am. He remains in police custody at Slough police station."
