Australia’s Tahnee Atkinson’s curves a perfect fit

It’s nice to see more voluptuous models getting some shine in the “never too thin” fashion industry.

Daily Telegraph reports that PYJAMA king Peter Alexander has taken a stand for fuller figure models, signing curvaceous Australia's Next Top Model winner Tahnee Atkinson as his new muse.

Atkinson, 19, was the subject of much debate when she won the modelling contest in 2009, some saying her healthy size 10 was too big for the thin-obsessed industry.

But Alexander has chosen Atkinson to front his new campaign, following in the footsteps of Miranda Kerr, Sarah Stephens and Selita Ebanks, who have fronted previous ranges.

"Men love curves, and some women - especially in the fashion industry - tend to hate them, so when I designed my '50s-inspired collection I was insistent we use a curvaceous woman," he told us.

"Trying to find that in today's modelling industry is not easy. Thank God for Tahnee.

"She has a body that would turn any man's head and a face as innocent and beautiful as the classic '50s pin-up model. Her ample, sexy size and her innocent face are a killer combo and made her perfect to use for this campaign."
