Tensions continue to rise among Muslims in Pakistan that want see a Christian woman, Asia Bibi hang by the neck for insulting the prophet Mohammed. This case should be getting worldwide attention, but it’s not. The New York Times has written about Asia Bibi a scant number of times.
Why is that?
Maybe it’s because the Asia Bibi story doesn’t fit the Times template of portraying Muslims as peaceful victims instead of bloodthirsty savages from the 11th century.
I’m not condemning all Muslims!
However, the vast majority of Muslims who are not violent and do love peace never speak out or demonstrate against Jihad or the killing of Christians. For that, they must be held as silent co-conspirators of those who seek bloodshed and death!
Asia News reports that an extremist Islamist group calling itself ‘Moaviya’ might be planning a suicide attack against Sheikhupura Prison in order to kill Asia Bibi, a Christian woman sentenced to death for blasphemy, this according to a report by Pakistani intelligence.
Ms Bibi has been held in the prison since 2009.
Punjab police and prison authorities have tightened security, especially in the wake of the assassination of the provincial governor, Salman Taseer, last Tuesday.
A few days ago, Mgr Lawrence John Saldanha, president of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Pakistan, said, “it is clear that anyone that opposes the blasphemy law is at risk.”
Mgr Rufin Anthony, bishop of Islamabad-Rawalpindi, told AsiaNews that religious fundamentalism and intolerance are spreading in the country.

Apparently, this KFC employee down under in Austrialia took exception to being asked for swine.
The violent outburst happened at a Halal-friendly KFC in Punchbowl on December 26, allegedly after a customer became angry after being refused bacon on their burger.
The Punchbowl restaurant does not serve bacon or pork in accordance with Islamic law, and one employee can be heard saying "we don't have bacon" before the other begins yelling.
"Don't record me bitch!" he screams as he approaches the counter. "Don't f---ing record me!"
The employee continues to yell and smacks the cash register display on its side, before other workers grab him and lead him outside.
"I'm gonna f---in break your head bro," he says to the person filming as he is led around the corner out of sight.
A spokesman for KFC Australia told ninemsn the employee had been suspended over the incident and offered counselling.
"KFC Australia strongly condemns the behavior of the team member who appears in the clip and sincerely apologizes for this very inappropriate reaction," the spokesman said
The governor of Punjab was assassinated today because he dared wanted to pardon Asia Bibi from facing the death penalty.
But, a so-called practitioner of the Islam, the dubious religion of peace continue to thirst for Bibi’s blood and as a result a good and civilized man is murdered for wanting to do what is right.
CBN.com reports that a powerful Pakistani governor was shot and killed Tuesday by one of his own guards.
Salman Taseer governed Punjab, the wealthiest and most populous province in Pakistan.
Officials say the guard who shot him was angry about the politician's stance against the country's blasphemy law. The law came under scrutiny in recent weeks when a Christian women, Asia Bibi, was sentence to death for insulting Islam.
The American press who has adopted Islam as the religion that needs defending, stays strangely silent as Christians are killed by Muslims in all parts of the world. This is how clueless Liberals are about Islam.
If you’re a Christian in a Muslim dominated country, you are marked for death. Yet, when Muslims come to the United States they demand to be treated special by refusing to assimilate into the culture. However, our constitution dictates that we be tolerant of other faiths and offer them equal protection under the law.
That is not the case in the Middle East and it is unacceptable that the same kind of tolerance does not exist there!
Until I see the day that Christian churches can be built in Saudi Arabia and other Muslim dominated countries, until I see the day that so-called moderate Muslims will begin to speak out against the killing of Christians, and until I see the day that Muslims in the Middle East can demonstrate religious tolerance such as we have here in the United States, I will continue to view these people as perpetrators of peace and faith.
The attack came in the wake of repeated threats by al Qaeda militants in Iraq to attack Egypt's Christians. A direct al Qaeda hand in the bombing would be a dramatic development, as Egypt's government has long denied that the terror network has a significant presence in the country. Al Qaeda in Iraq has already been waging a campaign of violence against Christians in that country.
Police initially said the blast came from an explosives-packed car parked outside the Saints Church in the Mediterranean port city. But the Interior Ministry later said it was more likely from a suicide bomber who blew himself up among the crowd. Both tactics are hallmarks of al Qaeda and have been rarely used in Egypt, where the government crushed an insurgency by Islamic militants in the 1990s.
Though the government of President Hosni Mubarak denies an al Qaeda presence, Egypt does have a rising movement of Islamic hard-liners who, while they do not advocate violence, adhere to an ideology similar in other ways to al Qaeda. There have been fears they could be further radicalized amid growing sectarian tensions between Egypt's Muslim majority and Christian minority. Nearly 1,000 Christians were attending the New Year's Mass at the Saints Church, said Father Mena Adel, a priest at the church.
The service had just ended, and some worshippers were leaving the building when the bomb went off about a half hour after midnight, he said. "The last thing I heard was a powerful explosion and then my ears went deaf," Marco Boutros, a 17-year-old survivor, said from his hospital bed. "All I could see were body parts scattered all over - legs and bits of flesh."
Blood splattered the facade of the church, as well as a mosque directly across the street. Bodies of many of the dead were collected from the street and kept inside the church overnight before they were taken away Saturday by ambulances for burial. Some Christians carried white sheets with the sign of the cross emblazoned on them with what appeared to be the blood of the victims. Mubarak vowed to track down those behind the attack, saying "we will cut off the hands of terrorists and those plotting against Egypt's security."
"This terrorist act has shaken the conscience of the nation," he said in a statement, adding that "all Egypt was targeted, and terrorism does not distinguish between Copt and Muslim."
I wish President Obama, who seems to go out of his way to extol the virtues of Islam, would use his bully pulpit as president and speak out against the mistreatment of Christians living in Muslim dominated countries. This is a serious issue that needs more condemnation by the world of nations.
But, the world remains silent at the plight of Christians. Why is that he case? If the situation were reversed and Muslims were being massacred, rape, and beheaded at the hands of Christians, wouldn’t you think that CNN would be Johnny on the spot with video footage and Christiane Amanpour would be holding one hour specials to examine the story?
This is not the first time Muslim terror has hit Christian sites, nor is it the first time Christians have fled Iraq. The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees estimates there were approximately 1 million Christians in Iraq prior to the U.S. invasion in 2003, and only half a million now - and that number is shrinking.
This week the Iraqi legislature discussed the Christians' situation and passed a resolution in principle to help families who fled. However, the parliament does not know where the Christians are, how many are still in Iraq, in their homes, and how many have found asylum in Iraqi Kurdistan.
Reports from Iraq show some Christians are even afraid to report they have received threatening phone calls or e-mails telling them to leave the country.
"Contacting the authorities forces us to identify ourselves, and we aren't certain that some of the people threatening us aren't the people in the government offices that are supposed to be protecting us," one Christian Iraqi told the newspaper Sawt al-Iraq. Others have reported masked men coming to their homes at night and demanding that they "convert to Islam, leave or die."
It's shaping up to be a bad Christmas for one of the oldest Christian sects in the Middle East, where Christianity was born -- and an even bleaker future for Egyptian Copts.

Aziz "wanted to burn the church," said Sam, who only gave his first name for fear of retaliation against his family back in Cairo.
The only political opposition allowed in today's Egypt is that centered on a mosque. By turning a blind eye to attacks on Christians -- or worse, joining them -- the government helps to deflect public anger caused by the fast-deteriorating economy.
As things get worse, the memory of days when Copts held high government positions fast fades. "Hillary Clinton needs to speak out more often," one demonstrator after another told me last week.
Yes, a State Department report last month noted that Egypt's "government failed to prosecute perpetrators of violence against Coptic Christians in a number of cases," and concluded that the country's Christians "face personal and collective discrimination." But Mubarak's government shrugged off the report, saying that it would only listen to "internationally recognized" authorities, such as the United Nations.
Clinton certainly can do a lot of good this holiday season by highlighting the plight of Christian minorities in Egypt and the rest of the Arab Middle East.

According to a major Vatican report issued last spring, bishops from across the Middle East blamed the decline of Christianity in the region on political "instability" -- as in the Palestinian-Israeli dispute. Speaking in Cyprus, Pope Benedict XVI made an appeal for "international efforts" to resolve the region's conflicts, "especially in the Holy Land."
Praying for Palestinian-Israeli peace may be appropriate, but the pope surely knows that Israel (despite increasing harassment by Muslims in the country's Arab towns) is practically the only place in the region where a Christian minority thrives.
The report elsewhere fingers "political Islam," which -- along with those who let it flourish, such as Egyptian government officials -- tolerates no other religious or secular beliefs.
In fact, one of the top regional emissaries cited in the Vatican report, Turkey's top bishop, Luigi Padovese, was assassinated as the report was issued in June. According to the Turkish press, the man who stabbed him to death yelled "Allahu Akbar!"

This story won’t get any attention because Muslims can only be victims in the mainstream media, not torturers who hammer 24 hot nails into a woman’s legs, hands, and forehead.
Ms Ariyawathi needed hospital surgery to remove the nails, which she said were hammered in when they were hot.
X-rays showed one to two-inch nails in her hands and legs, and even one over her eyes.

Why has President Barack Obama on at least two occasions told specifically Muslim audiences that America is a nation of—among other things—“non-believers”?
The Pledge of Allegiance says America is one nation under God, our national motto says in God we trust, the Declaration of Independence says we are endowed by our Creator with certain inalienable rights. Since the time of George Washington our presidents have placed their left hands on the Bible as they raise their right hands and swear to defend our Constitution.
The Census Bureau’s official Statistical Abstract of the United States says a miniscule 0.7 percent of American adults—or 1,621,000 out of 228,182,000--are atheists. If you accept the Pew Hispanic Center’s March 2005 estimate that there were 11 million illegal aliens in the United States back then—and assume for the sake of argument there are still roughly that many today after another half decade of unsecured borders—then a person randomly passing you on an American street is about seven times more likely to be a foreign national illegally residing here than an atheist.
If representation in the resident population is the measure, then it is more plausible to say America is a nation of foreigners than to say America is a nation of non-believers. Yet President Obama has virtually made a mantra of saying that Americans are, among other things, “non-believers.”
In his inaugural address, Obama said, “We are a nation of Christians and Muslims, Jews and Hindus and non-believers.” A week after his inauguration, in an interview with Al Arabiya, an Arabic-language television network based in the United Arab Emirates, Obama said:
“So what I want to communicate is the fact that in all my travels throughout the Muslim world, what I have come to understand is that regardless of your faith—and America is a country of Muslims, Jews, Christians and non-believers—regardless of your faith, people have certain common hopes and common dreams.”
On Nov. 7, 2009, four days before Veterans Day and two days after U.S. Army psychiatrist and radical Muslim terrorist Nidal Malik Hasan murdered 12 U.S. troops and one civilian and wounded 29 others at Fort Hood, Obama took pains to publicly state his belief that the American veterans who fought in Muslim territory at Ramadi, Iraq, and Kandahar, Afghanistan, included “non-believers.”
“In tribute to those who fell at Ft. Hood, I’ve ordered flags flying over the White House and other federal buildings to be lowered to half-staff from now until Veterans Day next Wednesday,” Obama said in his weekly address. “Veterans Day is our chance to honor those Americans who’ve served on battlefields from Lexington to Antietam, Normandy to Manila, Inchon to Khe Sanh, Ramadi to Kandahar.
They are Americans of every race, faith and station. They are Christians and Muslims, Jews and Hindus and nonbelievers.” On Aug. 13, hosting an Iftar dinner for Muslim guests at the White House, Obama not only suggested that he approved the building of a mosque next door to Ground Zero in New York, but he also said this: “We are a nation of Christians and Muslims, Jews and Hindus—and non-believers.
“ Is Obama’s repeated declaration—including to Muslim audiences—that America is, among other things, a nation of “non-believers” truly accurate? Does it comport with Obama’s professed strategy of reaching out to the Islamic world and improving America’s standing there by increasing understanding of our true nature as a nation?
The answers are: No and no. In America, we have no established religion, and the First Amendment guarantees its free exercise, but we are and always have been an expressly God-fearing nation.
Thomas Jefferson, who wrote of our God-given rights in the Declaration, later said in his “Notes on the State of Virginia”: “And can the liberties of a nation be thought secure when we have removed their only firm basis, a conviction in the minds of the people that these liberties are of the gift of God? That they are not to be violated but with His wrath?”
The Census Bureau does not ask Americans their denomination, but relies on the American Religious Identification Survey, which interviewed 54,461 American adults in 2008, to estimate the nation’s religious demographics. ARIS discovered that 76 percent of Americans said they were Christians, 1.2 percent said they were Jewish and 0.6 percent said they were Muslims.
Fifteen percent said they did not affiliate with a religion—which is not an indicator of disbelief in God. Only 0.9 percent said they were agnostic and only 0.7 percent said they were atheists. Obama’s insistence on giving the 0.7 percent atheist population equivalent status in his public declarations to America’s Christians and Jews, whose religious tradition is central to our nation’s worldview and heritage, may help promote non-belief in the United States, but it surely does not promote the American cause in the Islamic world—where our radical Muslim enemies, starting with al-Qaida, falsely claim Americans are infidels.
Certainly, Obama is not purposefully seeking to diminish America’s standing in the Muslim world. But his words—on their face—seek to diminish God’s standing in America.
When was the last time a White person was a victim of a hate Crime?
I thought in America we’re all supposed to have equal justice under the law? But, that doesn’t seem to be the case anymore.
Only certain groups of people are set aside as potential Hate Crime victims: Blacks, Gays, Latinos and the latest inclusion Liberals are all too eager to highlight-Muslims, the chic religion of The Left.
But, I still can’t figure why we needed hate crime laws in the first place when there are other laws on the books to cover every incident associated with the hate crime.
But, why isn’t attempted murder or assault with a deadly weapon sufficient to cover the incident? Who really cares what the alleged assailant had on his mind at the time of the crime?
Liberal Progressives are the ones who care about hate crimes because they are the inventors of it. Each violation makes a political statement and an assertion that certain victims of crimes deserve special consideration. It’s a case of affirmative action for the penal code. If you commit a crime against these people, then you must be automatically assumed without proof before a court of law that you must be a bigot, a homophobe or ijn the case of the cabbie--an Islamophobe.
Shouldn’t Daisy Kahn also be prosecuted for accusing opponents of the GZ Mosque of being Islamophobes? I think that kind of rhetoric could have contributed to pushing this nut case who stabbed the cabbie over the edge.
Will the D.A. file charges for that?

Let’s say a group of five of these terrorists hijacked a plane, flew it to Mecca, and plowed it into the Kaaba.
Now let’s say a group of well-meaning, well-funded Christians — Christians whose full-time job was missionary work — decided that the best way to promote healing would be to pressure the Saudi government to drop its prohibition against permitting non-Muslims into Mecca so that these well-meaning, well-funded Christian missionaries could build a $100 million dollar church and community center a stone’s throw from where the Kaaba used to be — you know, as a bridge-building gesture of interfaith understanding.

When a Liberal talks about values its pretty much a joke because they hold none for themselves.
Their values are tied to what’s popular at the moment or being defenders of groups they deem need their protection i.e. blacks, gays, or any group they see as oppressed.
Muslims are the new blacks.
Their values are arbitrary and transient.
But, let’s get away from theory and discuss hard cold reality. There’s been a lot written about the Ground Zero Mosque controversy. You’ve heard that it’s a question of religious freedom and that’s an absolutely false claim meant to divert attention away from what’s really at the heart of the matter.
Cliff at Another Black Conservative said the following: “We’re of the generation that will have to make a difference. The Islamaphaction of Europe was a long time in coming. It was like watching a slow motion train wreck. The same tactics used over there will be employed here unless we all rise up. The battle over the GZM is a hopeful sign.”

America knows that Great Britain has had Sharia Courts since 1982 and look what has happened to that once great nation?
British government leaders chose the Liberal point of view and instead of insisting that British Muslims assimilate to British culture and laws, they accommodated them and gave them a separate court system and in essence created a bi-lateral Muslim state within Britain.
That’s the path they chose.
Estimates are by 2025 Great Britain will be a majority Muslim country because of Liberalism.

Feisal Abdul Rauf is taking the publicly funded trip to foster "greater understanding" about Islam and Muslim communities in the United States, the State Department confirmed yesterday.
"He is a distinguished Muslim cleric," said State Department spokesman P.J. Crowley, when asked about the journey, reportedly to include stops in Saudi Arabia, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Bahrain and Qatar.
"I think we are in the process of arranging for him to travel as part of this program, and it is to foster a greater understanding about the region around the world among Muslim-majority communities," he added.
Crowley said no fund-raising for the mosque and cultural center during the trip would be permitted.
"That would not be something he could do as part of our program," he said.
"Does the State Department have any idea they are sending a guy to the Middle East who is going to be fund-raising perhaps among the very same people he will be meeting with?" asked Debra Burlingame, a 9/11 family member. Full story
