Woman Who Performed Sex Act On Her Own Daughter On A Webcam Sentenced To Jail

7DAYS - A week after being sentenced on child pornography charges, a woman who sexually abused a two-year-old girl while a man watched via the internet has received 15 years in jail. Julie Carr was sentenced last week to 20 years in federal prison. On Tuesday, Judge Bruce Jordan imposed the additional penalty for gross sexual assault and sexual exploitation of a minor. The sentences will be served concurrently. Carr, 33, had pleaded guilty to the charges. Officials in Maine in the US were alerted to Carr in June 2009 after police in the West Midlands in England came across four video clips, recorded by Nicholas Wilde, while investigating another child pornography case. Carr, who became the subject of dual state and federal investigations, told federal officials Wilde “conned” her into performing a sex act on a girl while he watched. Wilde was jailed for four years in the UK for his involvement. Carr will now have to register as a sex offender. Defence lawyer Steve Smith said his client had a difficult life, bouncing in and out of care, being placed into state custody and enduring abusive relationships. She was also sexually abused as a child. “Life at the end of the day wore her down to the point that she was vulnerable to doing something that a bad man suggested she do,” Smith said.

Pretty sick stuff, but here's my question: Why did the guy over in England only get four years? It sounds to me like he started the whole thing and he obviously kept the videos so he could watch 'em over and over again. Seems like he's every bit as much of a sick fuck as the woman. It should be like in hockey when 2 guys fight - matching penalties. Put the Brit away for a couple of decades too. Pay attention!
