K9 Loves R2 Star Wars

The t-shirt deal of the day over at RIPT Apparel is the Star Wars-inspired Valentine's Day shirt called called "K9 Loves R2."

The tee, by artist zerobriant, went on sale at RIPT today, Monday February 14, 2011, at midnight CST, and will continue for 24 hours from then, and once it's over, it will not be sold on the site anymore.

The design has a robot dog falling in love with Star Wars droid R2-D2 because he thinks R2's a fire hydrant. In the background, C-3PO finds the scenario amusing [...]

Geek Art: ‘Guitar Lessons’ Features 35 Rock Guitar Greats

Artist Maxim Dalton has created a new illustration called "Guitar Lessons" which features 35 rock guitar greats.

Dalton plans to offer up posters for this, and that there will be 50 hand-signed and numbered giclée prints at 19 x 25 inches. The cost will be around $40, plus $11 shipping for the U.S. and Europe. Visit the artist's site for an up-close look at each guitarist, and to reserve a limited edition print.

On last night's Saturday Night Live, which was hosted by Russell Brand, there was a totally hilarious video short called "British Movie," which had Bill Hader in the lead role in a film called Don' You Go Rounin' Roun to Re Ro. The short is actually a trailer for the made-up British action film, which has critics raving things like "British" and "Extremely British."

This trailer is a spoof on Guy Ritchie movies like Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, and other British action films, and if you've seen these types of movies, then you already know you can't understand half the dialogue, even though it's in English.
